Xiaomi’s first official physical store opens in the Philippines today and one could never miss the long queue early this morning as customer and fans piled up to witness the first Mi store in the country. Located in Trinoma Mall in Quezon City, the first official Mi store in the country houses most of Xiaomi’s gadgets ranging from smartphones, mobile peripherals, laptops, home appliances, car accessories, scooters, bags and everything nice.

Though this event excites fans, some have noticed from the venue. It says “Authorized Reseller” which wondered some fans. To make things clear, Xiaomi’s latest venture in the Philippines has been tied up with Grimalkin corporation as business partner. Grimalkin corporation will be the official Xiaomi device distributor in the country starting today with the business approach can be seen similar with how Apple markets its devices in the Philippines, keeping the official warranty unlike all other resellers in the market that doesn’t offer that kind of customer support. With Xiaomi’s official presence in the Philippines, this will then regulate the official number of devices becoming available in the country as well as permit the official prices of these devices.

The Mi Store Trinoma Mall branch is just one of the new stores opening around the country later this year, so it is not just the GMA regions who’ll enjoy the new Mi devices as we are also looking forward to see similar stores like this in other parts of the Philippines.

Congratulations Xiaomi for making your way to the Philippines.
