A feature-packed Mi Band 5 is set to go official on June 11 as Xiaomi already confirmed the launch date for the smart band. To completely amaze us for the new wearable, Xiaomi Smart Life an official Xiaomi Weibo profile shared an image that shows the upcoming fitness band in its official color variants.
The said available colors are as follows: Black, Red, Yellow and Green. The body of the Mi Band 5 retains that of the outgoing Mi Band 4 shell with almost the same size and even its capacitive button to remain intact.
In terms of features, the upcoming Mi Band 5 is said to include NFC as a default feature for its global variant which should enable owners to use the band for contactless mobile payments. The wearable device will also have a remote camera function for connected device, and an SpO2 sensor that tracks breathing and stress patterns.
It will also extend its fitness tracking functions which will now include Yoga, elliptical machine, indoor rowing, indoor cycling and rope jumping. It will also ship with Amazon Alexa smart assistant out of the box.
Like we’ve mentioned, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 will go official on June 11th and according to the Weibo post, the event should kick off at 2PM China local time.
