Xiaomi started out 2021 with a bang when it debut the company’s flagship Mi 11. Now, its Redmi arm is making a huge impact into the affordable segment as the brand unleashed the new Redmi Note 10 series which includes the Note 10 Pro, Note 10, Note 10S and the Note 10 5G.
At the top, we have the new Redmi Note 10 Pro which has all the bells and whistles available for the series. starting off with the the display as it is built around an awesome AMOLED display having a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Redmi Note 10
It also has the best camera’s around for the series with a quad-sensors on the back. It’s primary camera is a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor with a 108 Megapixel resolution behind an f/1.9 aperture lens. The main sensor is backed by a 8 Megapixel with Ultra Wide lens, a 5 Megapixel Tele-macro camera and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. The camera on the front is of a 16 Megapixel sensor and sits through a punch hole on the display.
The new handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC that is paired to 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of expandable storage. Despite the “Pro” moniker, it felled short on connectivity though as the SD732G just doesn’t support 5G but it has the lastest WiFi 6 at least.
It does come with an ample amount of battery power which is rated at 5,020mAh and supports 33W charging and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that is reliable as always.
The new Redmi Note10 Pro is available in Onyx Gray, Glacier Blue and Gradient Bronze color variants with prices starting at $279 and $329 for its top configuration.
Redmi Note 10
The Redmi Note 10 is a humbled version of the the Note 10 Pro with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with up to 1100nits of brightness and supports the DCI-P3 Color gamut.
In addition to that, the camera department winds down with a 48 Megapixel primary sensor along with 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide and a two 2 Megapixel cameras for macro and depth sensing for each. The front is a 13 Megapixel on a punch hole.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 powers the Note 10 that is then paired to either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and with two expandable storage configurations at either 64GB or 128GB. Its battery is a 5,000mAh powerpack with support for 33W charging.
The Redmi Note 10 comes tomorrow in Onyx Gray, Pebble White, Lake Green with prices starting at $199.
Redmi Note 10S
It has the same display and battery as the Redmi Note 10 but uses a MediaTek Helio G95 gaming chipset with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and it comes with an expandable storage too with either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Its fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side.
The camera on this device is a little different from the base model as well as it uses a 64 Megapixel for the primary sensor. however the rest of the cameras remains the same as the Note 10 with 8 Megapixel Ultra Wide and two 2 Megapixels for macro, depth sensor and a 13 Megapixel Selfie shooter on the front.
The Redmi Note 10S will be coming out next month in Onyx Gray, Pebble White and Ocean Blue with prices starting at $229.
Redmi Note 10 5G
The first three devices were limited to support 4G connectivity but as its name suggested, the Note 10 5G adds support for 5G connection thanks to its 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 which comes with a 5G modem built-in.
It has a 6.5-inch display but an IPS LCD panel however it supports an adaptive 90Hz refresh rate which go as low as 30Hz depending on the content being displayed.
The camera department is also different from the rest of the series as it settles with a triple camera setup with 48 Megapixel as its primary sensor and two 2 Megapixel sensors. one for macro and the other for depth sensing. The front camera is a 8 Megapixel shooter which if you’d ask us, it a bit below on the standards nowadays but with a few software tricks, this would do.
It also comes with a 5,000mAh battery however it has a slower charging rated at 18W and its fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side as well.
The Redmi Note 10 5G comes in two configurations 4GB/64GB or 4GB/128GB of RAM and storage.
The new device will be released together with the Note 10S next month and will be available in Onyx Gray, Glacier Blue and Gradient Bronze with prices starting at $199.
