Xiaomi Mi 9 SE official with Snapdragon 712 and triple main cameras
Clearly a mid-ranger with high-end specs
Besides the high-end Mi 9, Xiaomi also introduced the new Mi 9 Special Edition (SE). It’s aspect from the Mi 9 but the Special Edition handset is a bit smaller and powered by a mid-range processor.

The display on the Mi 9 SE is at 5.97-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution with a waterdrop notch on top. Besides having an almost all-screen on the front, Xiaomi also includes an under-display fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.

Housed inside the notch on top is a 20MP Selfie camera with an f/2.0 Aperture and can which is at the same time is utilized as Face Unlock. On the back is a triple camera setup similar to the regular Mi 9 with a 48MP primary lens, a 13MP equipped with wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto.
Powering the handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712, not as powerful as the SD855 but still is much capable of doing everything you can throw at. It is also one of the modern CPU out there based on 10nm FinFET process. This is coupled to 6GB of RAM along with either 64GB or 128GB of storage.
It also boosts the new Game Turbo feature for smooth gaming experience and comes with NFC built-in and an Infrared port.

The Mi 9 SE runs on 3070 mAh battery which is a little lame for such modern device but thankfully is supports Fast charging like the Mi 9 with an 18W charger included in the box. MIUI 10 drives the new handset that is based on Android 9 Pie.
The new Xiaomi Mi 9 Special Edition will be available in Black, Blue and Violet color variant with prices starts at CNY1,999 for the 64GB version and CNY2,299 for the 128GB one.
