Xiaomi MI 3 is up for Open Sale. 10,599 only for the 16GB variant, available in Metallic gray
The latest Chinese mobile firm to enter the Philippine market announced that they are going for an Open Sale for their latest flagship smartphone the MI 3. Customers embraced the new flagship device where when the MI 3 went for a limited sale a week ago, 1,300 units were sold out for just an hour.
Xiaomi MI 3 features specs that other manufacturers typically incorporates on their high-end and expensive devices. Though for Xiaomi, the MI 3 is also their flagship device but the difference would be the price. For the MI 3’s flagship specs, it’s pricing plays over mid-range devices. For the Philippines, the Xiaomi MI 3 is retailed for only 10,599 Php for both local and online stores. Online store Lazada PH also announced the availability of MI 3 on their website.
The Xiaomi MI 3 is powered by a 2.3 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage space. Unfortunately, the MI 3 does not feature a microSD slot for memory expansion, however, Xiaomi listed a 64 GB variant of the device but the company have not made a statement regarding its availability here in the Philippines.
Xiaomi MI3 features magnesium alloy frame coated with thermal graphite, this houses the 5-inch multitouch full-HD display with 441 pp1 on the front together with the 2 Megapixel camera that’s good enough for everyday selfie shots and video calls. The unit sits flat on its back which follows a minimalistic design with nothing else but the 13 Megapixel main camera module coupled with LED flash. The buttons are stiff and the overall design feels just premium.
Connectivity with the MI 3 provides excellent coverage as it supports HSPA+ and 3G wireless connectivity plus a standard connectivity options that includes: Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 + A2DP, GPS, A-GPS + GLONASS and microUSB connection with OTG support.
The Xiaomi MI 3 units in the Philippines comes with Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box with 3,050 mAh battery for maximum performance and extended daily usability. With that features and lower price tag, you might want to consider the Xiaomi MI 3 despite its shortcomings.
