Xiaomi launched two new Mi electric scooters in the Philippines

With the quarantine still in effect on most part of the country, public transportation is not yet as easily accessible than it used to be. Lucky you, Xiaomi just launched two new electric scooters for personal transport: the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 and the Mi Electric Scooter 1S.

These two new Electric Scooters looks identical in every angle with only difference from their battery capacity and motor power

Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2

It comes with a Brushless DC motor having a nominal power at 300W and peaks at 600W on the back with pneumatic tires for both tires. It uses a 12,800mAh(478Wh) Lithium battery with an estimated rage for about 45 km on a single charge and has a maximum speed of 25 kph.

Mi Electric Scooter 1S

This scooter also comes with a 250W Brushless DC motor with a peak of 500W with the pneumatic tires for both tires on the front and back. Its battery is Lithium as well and is rated at 7650mAh(275Wh). The estimated rage for a single charge is about 30km with a maximum speed of around 25kph,

Both scooters has the same dimensions but the 1S weighs just 12.4kg while the Pro 2 is about 2kg more. Both are rated IP54 so it can be driven even when it drizzles. However with this IP rating, it is not recommended to drive this over flooded streets.

For ergonomics and safety, both scooter are equipped with a multifunctional display with bluetooth connectivity support through the Mi App which can be used to lock or unlock the scooter.

It uses hand breaks for better and safer driving and features kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) and sensitive hand throttle with TPR grips. It also features the latest 5th generation Battery Management System that should maximizes the battery health on the unit.

The new Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 is priced around Php 24,990 while the Mi Electric Scooter 1S is retailed at Php 19,990. Both of these scooters can now be purchased on Authorized Mi Store in the country and online through Xiaomi’s Mi Store Viber community.
