Xiaomi’s successor to the Redmi Pro dubbed as the Redmi Pro 2 has been spotting on the mi.com website. As brief as it was published, the Xiaomi websites had it removed moments later but thanks to the people who are constantly watching for what’s to comes from manufacturers such as Xiaomi that had the chance to pull a screenshot before the item went offline.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 listing haven’t had any further information about the device but based on the screenshot right here, the upcoming handset will be have a 5.5-inch OLED display and will be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 660 chipset.
Despite earlier claims, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will continue to offer a dual camera setup on the back which has been upgraded to a 16 Megapixel sensor from 13 Megapixel of the current Redmi Pro.
Lastly, the handset will house a large 4100 mAh embedded battery with 50 mAh more compared to its predecessor.
The handset is priced CNY 1199 which is around $174 or roughly 9,000.00 Php. While the price point looks more than a good deal, experts believed that this might be the 2GB RAM variant of the handset and neither the 3GB nor its high-end 4GB RAM variant.
