Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi 15T series, introducing the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro as the company’s newest contenders in the upper midrange to flagship-lite smartphone category. Designed to blur the line between premium and performance-oriented devices, the new duo pushes boundaries in camera technology, display capabilities, and overall performance all while staying below the ultra-flagship price tier.

The “T” lineup has always been Xiaomi’s bridge between flagship innovation and mainstream affordability. With the 15T series, Xiaomi offers flagship-level specs, refined design, and Leica-powered imaging at a more reasonable price. Positioned globally as a performance-camera powerhouse, the series arrives just as Xiaomi prepares for its next major flagship launch, proving that the T-series still plays a role in the company’s strategy.

At first glance, both the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro share a near-identical design language: flat OLED displays with ultra-thin bezels, squared camera housings, and a sleek, modern aesthetic. Yet, subtle details separate the standard model from its Pro sibling.

Both phones feature a 6.83-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1280px), boasting rich contrast, vibrant colors, and exceptional brightness reaching up to 3,200 nits. The 15T offers a 120Hz refresh rate, while the 15T Pro pushes the envelope further with a 144Hz refresh rate, ideal for gamers and users seeking ultra-smooth animations.

Build materials slightly differ, with the base model using a lighter composite frame and the Pro opting for a sturdier metal chassis. Both, however, offer IP68 dust and water resistance, Gorilla Glass protection, and under-display fingerprint sensors, ensuring a flagship-grade feel across the board.

Xiaomi has chosen MediaTek processors to drive the new lineup. The Xiaomi 15T is powered by the Dimensity 8400 Ultra, a 4nm chip that balances strong performance with efficiency. The 15T Pro on the other hand takes things up a notch with the Dimensity 9400+, a cutting-edge 3nm processor designed for sustained, heavy workloads like gaming, video rendering, and AI tasks.

Both devices come with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, while the Pro model offers an expanded 1TB option.

Photography is where the 15T series truly distinguishes itself. Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica continues to evolve, and the results show.

Main Camera:

  • Xiaomi 15T: 50MP sensor (1/1.55-inch)
  • Xiaomi 15T Pro: 50MP sensor (1/1.31-inch) with enhanced light capture and improved OIS

Ultra-Wide Camera:

  • 12MP on both models with a wide field of view

Telephoto Lens:

  • Xiaomi 15T: Standard 50MP telephoto with 2× optical zoom
  • Xiaomi 15T Pro: Advanced 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5× optical zoom and up to 100× digital zoom

Front Camera:

  • 32MP sensor for high-resolution selfies and video calls

The 15T Pro’s periscope lens is a standout feature, offering levels of optical zoom rarely seen in this price segment. Leica’s image tuning adds characteristically natural color science, strong dynamic range, and detailed low-light performance. Video capture is equally impressive, with the Pro capable of 4K at 120 fps, giving content creators more creative flexibility.

Both phones house a 5,500mAh battery, but their charging solutions set them apart. The Xiaomi 15T supports 67W wired charging, while the 15T Pro elevates the experience with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Unlike other devices that shipped without a charger, both the 15T and the 15T Pro comes with their required power adapters out of the box.

Despite their shared battery size, power efficiency differs slightly due to the Pro’s higher refresh rate and more powerful chipset. Still, both devices comfortably last a full day under mixed usage, and Xiaomi’s power management optimizations under HyperOS 3 help extend endurance.

Running out of the box with HyperOS 2, Xiaomi’s latest Android-based operating system, the 15T series brings smoother animations, deeper AI integration, and cross-device connectivity improvements. New productivity features, such as wireless device mirroring and offline peer-to-peer communication, make the devices more versatile than ever.

Xiaomi also promises five years of major OS updates and six years of security patches, matching the support policies of top-tier competitors and boosting the devices’ long-term value.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi 15T is priced starting at 649 Euros for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the Xiaomi 15T Pro starts at 799 Euros, with higher configurations reaching up to 999 Euros for the 1TB model. Global rollout has begun in select markets, with more regions expected to follow throughout towards the end of 2025.
