Xiaomi 15S Pro Debuts with Game-Changing Xring O1 Chipset: A Bold Step Toward Independence

In the midst of the current trade war, electronics companies are looking for ways to maintain their relevance in the market—primarily by reducing reliance on third-party supply manufacturers. Xiaomi has taken that step with its new high-end Xring O1 chipset, which rivals counterparts from Snapdragon and MediaTek. And there’s no better way to showcase the new mobile processor than with one of Xiaomi’s flagship models: the new Xiaomi 15S Pro.
From a technical standpoint, the Xiaomi 15S Pro is essentially a 15 Pro, but it’s powered by the new Xring O1 chipset. Designed by Xiaomi and manufactured by TSMC using the second-generation N3E 3nm process, this chipset is a major leap forward.

The Xiaomi Xring O1 features a 10-core CPU: two Cortex-X925 performance cores clocked at 3.9GHz, six Cortex-A725 cores also up to 3.9GHz, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores running at 1.8GHz. Complementing the CPU is a 16-core ARM Immortalis-G925 GPU and a 6-core NPU capable of 44 TOPS.

That may sound highly technical—but in real-world performance, it matters. Xiaomi reports that the Xring O1 scored over 3 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark, outperforming both the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple’s A18 Pro in multi-core performance. The chipset also supports LPDDR5T RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, Wi-Fi 7, a custom 3-core Xiaomi ISP for image processing, and USB 3.2 Gen 2.
Beyond the new chipset, the rest of the Xiaomi 15S Pro’s specs are identical to the Xiaomi 15 Pro. It features a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a triple 50MP rear camera setup, and a 6,100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired charging. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro is currently available in China in black and blue, with prices starting at 5,499 Yuan for the 16GB/512GB variant.
