In about a couple of months from now, Microsoft will finally make the new Windows 11 available for everyone. It’s one of the most anticipated software release to date which will finally move Windows forward as it enter a new era.
Early Windows 11 installs will only allow PC’s to be upgraded from Windows 10 if they have all the minimum system requirements met which only includes system with 8-gen Intel chips or second-gen AMD Ryzen chips to go get the upgrade leaving thousands and millions of older PC’s in the dust.
But Microsoft just recently ease on the situation as it now says that it won’t block any older PC’s to be upgraded to Windows 11, However anyone who wants to force install the new operating system on their machines would have to manually install through the official ISO file of Windows 11 of course.
We are yet to see how things would work from here unto as Windows 11 install typically needs to have TPM 2.0 enabled as prerequisite. System compatibility can be checked through Microsoft’s own PC Health Check app utility which Microsoft plans to update letting more generation of chips to be included as supported.
While news are getting favorable for Windows users with older machines the catch though is that Window 11 on these older machines might not get any system updates from Windows Updates even security updates for that matter.
As long as your system have at least a 1GHz 64-bit processor of any non-supported generation chips, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, you should be able to manually install Windows 11 but keep in mind though that you won’t have the same high-level of user experience and could experience more driver incompatibility and system crashes as compared to a system that meets the minimum system requirements.
