The Department of Health (DOH) issues COVID-19 Bulletin No. 136 on July 28, 2020. This bulletin reports a total of 1,678 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
With this number together with yesterday’s figure, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country is now at 83,673 with a Death toll of 1,947 after 4 new reported deaths were added.
This bulletin also reports 173 new recoveries and that makes our total number of recoveries to 26,617.
With these figures calculated, the Philippines now has a total of 55,109 active COVID-19 cases on record. More info about this Bulletin is detailed down below:
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
