And so, it’s finally the year 2019 and manufacturers are rallying into the scene of new phones but the one that really surprises and even outgun even flagship coming out this year is what Vivo has on their new V15 Pro.

The V15 Pro surely is designed to succeed the V11 Pro and the Vivo NEX taking significant technologies from these two devices into one unit. The V15 Pro highlights both display and camera as they are much more advanced today than the year prior.

The unit sport a large 6.4-inch display and goes completely notch less and almost bezel free with just a slight chin at the bottom. It’s an AMOLED display as well so you’re sure to have one of the best experience there is on a smartphone device.

With all display at the front, Vivo opted to bring back its popup Selfie camera like the Vivo NEX but this time around though, the V15 Pro has an enormous 32MP front shooter.

On the back, where it houses the popup Selfie camera is also a trio of imaging lens on a vertically aligned camera module which includes a 48MP primary sensor which outputs 12MP shots by default then an 8MP camera with wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth sensor.

AI powers V15 Pro’s imaging capabilities with AI Super Night Scene, AI Super Wide-Angle camera, AI Beauty and AI body Shaping. These AI-powered features uses both the front and back cameras for the best camera experience.

Besides the imaging, Vivo’s AI capabilities extends to its UI environment and adds a button to call its own Jovi virtual assistant which works side by side with Google’s native virtual assistant.

As one of the pioneers in Under-Display fingerprint scanners, Vivo has a better version of it on the V15 Pro which is a lot more sensitive this time and then there’s also face-unlock available through the popup camera.

What powers the V15 Pro is the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 670. Don’t just fret all of the sudden about Vivo’s processor choice for the V15 Pro as it is capable enough comparable with previous flagship chipsets from Qualcomm and it is even a bit powerful that the Snapdragon 710.

It will be available in two RAM variants with 6GB or 8GB. Both will include a 128GB of storage. Its built-in storage should be enough for most of us though but for those that requires more for some reasons, you’ll be glad to know that it supports microSD cards of up to 256GB.

With specs that has so much to pump up, Vivo includes its own Game Mode 5.0 which allocates system resources to your favorite game and optimizes performance for a smooth gaming experience

The handset won’t be coming with 5G connectivity unfortunately but that shouldn’t stop anyone from getting this device as it still comes with the ever reliable 4G/LTE connectivity.

The V15 Pro will boot FunTouch OS 9 based on the latest Android 9 Pie and runs on 3700 mAh battery. While everything seems future-proof about the V15 Pro, the handset still shipped with microUSB port. Though it’s what we loved for years but we all know that the USB-C is the thing forward but with that aging port around that also mean one thing, a 3.5mm audio jack is included.

Visually, in my opinion, the V15 Pro does have the best design yet with a stunning Spectrum Ripple Design on the back with either Topaz Blue or its Ruby Red color variants.

The new V15 Pro from Vivo will be available in India and other key markets in March with a price tag of 28,990 INR. Regional pricing will be available on each specific areas at the launch.
