After the released of the new Xiaomi Mi 11 flagship in the market. Xiaomi fans are now awaiting for the company’s next Redmi flagship and after a lot of rumors and leaks, the anticipated successor to the Redmi K series finally gets a launch date.
Through a Weibo post, Redmi VP Lu Weibing confirmed that the Redmi K40 is set to launch on February 25. The post further states that the K40 series will bring a brand new design, brand new positioning and will offer a brand new experience.

The post didn’t spill other information about the upcoming device but as previously suggested, the Redmi K40 will be available with a Snapdragon 888 chipset and will have a premium flat display, more than the usual 4000mAh battery and a starting price of around CNY 2,999 or roughly about US$465.
Furthermore, the Redmi K40 series is said to include at least three trims, a regular K40, K40S and a K40 Pro with rumors that the latter will feature a 108 Megapixel camera.
