Oppo’s new R7 isn’t just all the metal clad design, as always as they say, there should be something to improve along the line as it seems like Oppo found the move for the latest flagship. Introduced at GITEX in Dubai, the new Oppo R7s features a large 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p screen resolution with a 2.5D glass lamination. It’s a upsized version of the Oppo R7 with one of the most significant addition to the specs lineup is the 4 GB of system RAM and a 32 GB built-in storage space.
Like the R7, the new R7s comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and a micro SD card slot just in case the built-in memory isn’t enough for your needs. It also sports the same 13 Megapixel main camera and an 8 Megapixel front-facing shooter will all the same imaging features found on the Oppo R7.
Juicing the handset is the embedded 3070 mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support. The handset measures 151.8 x 75.4 x 6.95 mm and only weighs 155 grams which is a little 8 grams more than the R7. While the R7 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat when it came out earlier this year, the Oppo R7s runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The new Oppo R7s will hit the shelves next month in Australia and in selected key markets in Asia while Europe and the United States should have it available just in time for the holiday season.
