The DOH reports a staggering 2,434 new COVID-19 cases in the country
The Department of Health (DOH) released COVID-19 Daily Bulletin No. 113 for July 05, 2020 at 4:00 PM. This bulletin reports a staggering 2,434 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 for the day with details below:
Fresh Cases: 1,147 (NCR: 440 / Region 7: 364 / Others: 336 / Repatriate: 7)
Late Cases: 1,287 (NCR: 629 / Region 7: 238 / Others: 420)
The country has experienced the highest jump in the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in a day ever at 44,254 from 41,830 of the day prior. Our Death toll is now at 1,297 after 7 reported deaths were added.
This bulletin also reports 489 new recoveries, which makes our total number of recoveries to 11,942.
The Department of Health attributes the easing of community quarantine measures in the country for the sudden gross increase of cases for just a short span of time.
Furthermore, the health agency urges the public to continue practicing general preventive measures and observing the minimum health standards to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
