The DOH pushes a new alternative to prevent HIV-AIDS by blocking porn sites in the country

Philippines. – The Department of Health (DOH) was supposedly mobilizing its force for its Anti-AIDS program through various schools and universities across the country but despite their best efforts, detractors intervene the program which resulted into its early demise. The problem is that, the government health institution was prioritizing the use of condoms in collaboration of educating students in the high school level to prevent AIDS and to make the students to be aware with safe sex.
As the program apparently falls apart,Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial is making an alternate resolution to the increasing number of HIV cases in the country by blocking pornographic websites from being access in the Philippines. This crucial attempt to influence our law makers or the government itself to enact such policy according to Ubial is seen as a vital solution in the continuing increase of HIV related cases in the country especially among the youths.
I will support anything that can curb the spread of HIV-AIDS, – Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial
Added to that, Secretary Ubial said that she no longer pushes their efforts to provide condoms in school and that the program was just a mere option that awaits consideration. As now we’ve seen it as a failure before it was supposed to launch, the Secretary hopes that other options should also be considered as early as this time and one that they found a viable alternative is but disallowing the public from access pornographic contents online.
Before the secretary made such offers, the Philippine Government was already taking actions regarding the matter through the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) which ordered both Globe andPLDT to block at least 21 porn sites in the country. So far only Smart Communications a subsidiary of PLDT was able to implement the regulation and has users disabled to access porn sites through the networks data connections.
Do you think Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial was right about her presumptions ?
There has been no known cases of HIV related infection in the country as of the moment that resulted from accessing porn site by the way.
