When Sony introduced the Walkman, it was heaven to us users that we can listen to our favorite tracks on the go. Back then, we had the cassette tapes and later on with CD’s.

Fast forward to the modern age, the Sony Walkman has adopted new conventions and storage to meet consumer demands. The latest are these two Walkman A100 series Media players with model name: NW-A105 and the 40th-Anniversary limited edition NW-A100TPS which just arrived in the Philippines.

These Walkman devices no longer run on old school media but similar to those smartphones of today. It comes with 16GB of storage and supports Hi-Fi audio, DSD and PCM with support by S-Master HX, DSEE HX, and high-resolution audio for Wireless by LDAC.
Housed in an Aluminum miled frame, the new Walkman series features a 3.6-inch display and has a cassette tape UI for nostalgia. It runs Android comes with Wi-Fi that allow users to stream Media contents from other services like Spotify and such.

Besides the basic connectivity support, the new Walkman also has NFC, Bluetooth and USB-C port for various connectivity options with the latter for computer connectivity and charging while the battery promises 26 hours of audio playback.
The new Sony Walkman NW-A105 retails at 17,899 Php and is available in Black and Red color options in all Sony authorized dealers nationwide.

The Sony NW-A100TPS on the other hand is priced at 21,499 and comes with a soft case and packaging that resembles the original cassette driven TPS-L2 Walkman.
