Action cams has become a part of every adventurer’s life nowadays as it captures every moment about everything that you’ve been up to and as the market grows in popularity, imaging technology company’s both veteran and startups are now starting to make action cams of their own. Sony for instance isn’t new to the camera market and it has been improving its product and venturing into other markets related to video and imaging. They’ve already brought several action cameras in the market and it has proven itself to perform as users have expected.
Sony is yet again updated its Action camera lineup with two new products, the 4K capable FDR-X1000V and the full-HD capable HDR-AS200V. Both devices comes with a 12.8 Megapixel Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor with Back-Illumination. While both devices are equipped with the same imaging sensor, the FDR-X1000V has a 1/2.3″ (7.81mm) aperture, a Sony BIONZ X Image processor and 4K video capture capabilities. The HDR-AS200V however only does a full-HD video capture capability and with a 1/2.3 type (7.76 mm) aperture.
Both camera are equipped with NFC and is compatible with Sony’s Live-View remote which enables you to see what the camera sees from its lens. The Live-View remote is a separate accessory to Sony’s action cameras which costs another but if budget constraint an issue they you can turn to Sony’s own PlayMemories app which can be downloaded to your smartphone and allow both devices to sync then view and control the camera from the smartphone itself.
Also, both cameras are splash-proof and in the package, there’s an included water-resistant cases which further protects the camera basically from water, dust and even shock so you could carry the camera along wherever you go or whatever you’ll do.
As for the price, Sony’s new Action camera starts at 20,999 Php for the full-HD capable HDR-AS200V while the 4K capable FDR-X1000V comes at 27,999 Php.
