Smart adds Unli FB and wikipedia access to its free 30mb internet services, now includes postpaid and broadband subscribers until next year

It seems that Smart Communications first move was just a start for something big and indeed the Telecommunications company has update is current services, Last friday, the company’s chairman Manny V. Pangilinan posted on Twitter that the service has extended its reach to cover postpaid and broadband subscribers in addition to the millions of prepaid subscribers on Smart, Talk & Text and Sun Cellular networks. On top of the current free 30Mb internet service, Smart Communications has also added a free unlimited access to Facebook and its underlying services such as messenger, social media interactions, updates and viewing multimedia contents embedded into Facebook’s website as well as unlimited access to Wikipedia information.

Smart Communications chairman Mr. Pangilinan also announced that the current free internet service is extended until January 5 next year to broaden subscribers access to a wide range of information and to give way to users to find alternatives to connect and share contents with love ones for the upcoming holidays.

To avail for the free service, users must have at least a 1 Peso load or currently subscribe to other network services to start with and will only need a one time registration by texting “FREE” without the quotes to 9999. Current users who have already enrolled in the service will be automatically upgraded to the latest update and need not to re-register.
