The Galaxy A series isn’t the centerpiece of Samsung mobile’s market space but as developments crosses between boarders of two segments, the Galaxy A series of device might as well fill the space that the flagship Galaxy S series left behind. For now, we’re kind of thorn between the high-end flagship S series and the mid-end A series with both of which now follows almost same path in design and construction as Samsung reinvent its devices to compete with the every growing standards of mobile device customers around the world.

We’ve enjoyed a lot of new things that Samsung introduced in the market lately, their popularity seems to have not gotten old and with each major release, the Samsung just pushes itself in the upward direction. When the Galaxy A series début late last year, we are then hinted that there’s are major changes coming from the company and that was proven when the Galaxy S6 was finally unveiled. It took years before Samsung caught up with metallic unibody design but when they did, it just brought customers more excited and feel very well served as they finally got what they have hoped for years.

The Galaxy A series of devices are all metal-clad and is mostly equipped with technologies that we may find on the company’s flagship device, well, not all of it but most of it made into the production. The Galaxy A series are differentiated by their features but mainly through their size which allows customers to choose what they needed based on what they see. The Galaxy A3 being the smallest in the series comes with a 4.5-inch display, the A5 on 5-inch and the A7 on 5.5-inch display. Now that we’re about to go into the next Galaxy A series, Samsung is anticipated to unveil a new member in the Galaxy A series with the upcoming Galaxy A8 which will feature a larger 5.7-inch display.

The Galaxy A8 is also said to be the thinnest Galaxy device from Samsung to date at 5.94 mm thick. The upcoming handset is also a subject of rumors and leaks which have grown recently as more data comes in others found a way to leak out early promotional brochures such as the one we see below and a few hands-on reviews of the not yet announced device.

But as we inch closer to an imminent release, Some got hold of the actual device and managed to review them. One of which recently from China which posted the live images online for our viewing pleasure.

As the Chinese review has put it, the Galaxy A8 will feature a fingerprint sensor embedded within its Home key and will work much the same way as it was implemented in the Galaxy S6. Together with the confirmed fingerprint sensor, other features are that unfolded earlier were also confirmed as follows:

The Galaxy A8 features a 5.7-inch 1080p sAMOLED display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC with an 8-core Cortex-A53 processor running at 1.5 GHz with LTE support. It comes with 2 GB of RAM , 16 GB of internal memory and a microSD slot for memory expansion.

There is also a 16 Megapixel main camera on the back and is supported by an LED flash, on the front is the regular A series selfie camera with 5 Megapixel sensor built-in. The handset runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 operating system with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI on top. These features are packed in now a more rounded metal-clad chassis along with the 3050 mAh non-removable battery inside.

So as far as leaks are concerned, it looks like Samsung might need to officially announced the Galaxy A8 as soon as possible before they ran of reasons for users to get excited with.
