Samsung post a new invite for an upcoming event that they are staging this 29th of April 2014 in Singapore. The recent invitation makes us to believe that the South Korean tech giant will be announcing the leaked Galaxy S5 Zoom on the date mentioned but recent information suggest that Samsung may soon pave its ways of conventional naming of its alleged Zoom device to a more focused and specific line that would identify a standalone product.

As the media suggests, what we have known as the Galaxy S5 Zoom may soon be the Galaxy K that features a camera centric device with phone capabilities. Since the new (S5) K Zoom does not formally resembles the Galaxy S5 it would make sense that Samsung will push the camera centric device as another line in the Galaxy series.

Rumors suggests that the Galaxy K Zoom will feature a 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor or a Exynos 5 Hexa-Core CPU at 1.3 GHz with ARM Mali-T624 GPU, a 720p 4.8-inch display, 2 GB of RAM running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The Galaxy K Zoom will also feature a 20 Megapixel camera which is a significant upgrade over its predecessor the Galaxy S4 Zoom having a 16 Megapixel shooter, features a Xenon flash and a 10X optical Zoom. As recent rumors have circulated, the K Zoom will be much thinner than the S4 Zoom with its camera zoom lens well hidden on the back. Provided with the latest leaked image, we can’t really attest the dimensions of the device but it seems that the back provides a significant improvement from the S4 Zoom and will be much less awkward to hold as a phone when not using the device as a camera.
