The Korean tech giant unveiled a plethora of new devices and gadgets at the 2020 Samsung UNPacked with the main reason of the whole event is the official announcement for this years new flagship device from Samsung, that is the new Galaxy S20 series.

From one main flagship device for the series, Samsung had two versions of the flagship in recent years, but this year, that’s going to change once again as Samsung announced not just two but three new Samsung Galaxy S20 flagship devices designed to meet every consumer’s needs.
Galaxy S20
The Vanilla Galaxy S20 is the base model of the trio sporting a 6.2-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display panel and features a 120Hz refresh rate.

For imaging, the Galaxy S20 comes with a 10 Megapixel Selfie shooter with f/2.2 Aperture sitting on a tiny punch-hole on the upper mid-center of the display. On the back, there’s a triple camera module that uses a 12 Megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 bright Aperture and a 12 Megapixel sensor with an UltraWide lens and followed by a 64 Megapixel sensor with a Telephoto lens.
The smartphone is powered either by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or a Exynos 990 that is paired to either an 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Storage option on this one is only at 128GB but that can also pushed up with a microSD card from which the device supports up to 1TB.
Feature-wise, It includes an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, an improvement over its predecessor as it’s a lot more responsive and accurate this time around. It also has an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
It boots Android 10 with One UI 2.0 out of the box and runs on 4000 mAh battery pack with support for 25W Fast charging. Wireless charging and Reverse charging.
The new Galaxy S20 will be available in Cosmic Gray, Cloud Blue and Cloud Pink.
Galaxy S20+
The Galaxy S20+ is the larger version of the Galaxy S20 with a larger 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display. It also has Samsung’s 120Hz display refresh rate and in QHD+ resolution.

The smartphone is powered by either Qualcomm SD865 or Samsung’s own Exynos 990, that will depend on the regions they are shipped by the way and that’s paired to either an 8GB or 12GB of system RAM.

For imaging on the Galaxy S20+, the smartphone is equipped with a 12 Megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 bright Aperture and a 12 Megapixel sensor with an UltraWide lens, a 64 Megapixel Telephoto lens and also has a DepthVision camera sensors included. On the front, it has the same 10 Megapixel punch-hole camera as the Galaxy S20.
For storage, the Galaxy S20+ does have plenty of option but the 8GB RAM version which will only be available in 4G only ships with 128GB. Its 12GB RAM variants all comes with 5G connectivity and comes with 12GB/256GB/512GB of storage. All of these variants has microSD card support at a max of 1TB.
Like the vanilla Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20+ also comes with an Ultrasonic Fingerprint reader on the display and is a IP68 certified handset which only means one thing, a water-resistant and dust resistant piece of a device.
As for the battery, the Galaxy S20+ ships with 4500 mAh battery pack and comes with 25W fast charging support and a 15W wireless charging and also supports Samsung PowerShare reverse charging in either wired or wireless route for other devices.
The new Galaxy S20+ will be available in Cosmic Black, Cosmic Gray and Cloud Blue color options.
Galaxy S20 Ultra
This year’s launched of Samsung’s new flagship introduced the new Ultra moniker to the Galaxy S family which puts everything that Samsung could think of on a device.
It’s the larger of the bunch with a huge camera bump on the back. It features a Quad-camera module that’s capable of 8K video recording that includes a 108 Megapixel primary sensor with f1.8 Aperture and has a wide-angle lens. The main camera support Space Zoom which basically is a Hybrid Zoom up to 10x and Super Resolution Zoom of up to 100x.

Then there’s a 12 Megapixel sensor with an Ultra Wide angle f/2.2 lens and a 48 Megapixel Telephoto camera with f/3.5 Aperture. Finishing off the camera hardware are the two DepthVision cameras that takes care of a bunch of different background effects with a dedicated depth sensor.
As for the front, the Galaxy S20 Ultra carries a 40 Megapixel Selfie camera with f/2.2 Aperture on a punch-hole sitting at the center-top of the display.
Like the rest of the Galaxy S20 series, the Ultra variant is also powered by either a Snapdragon 865 or the Exynos 990 with 12GB of RAM paired to either 128GB or 256GB of storage. There’s also a top of the line variant for the Galaxy S20 Ultra which has a whopping 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It also support microSD cards of up to 1TB, just in case users needs those extra storage.
The display on the Galaxy S20 Ultra is at 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2.0 display making it the largest Galaxy S device ever. It’s delivered in QHD+ resolution and has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
It also comes with an Ultrasonic fingerprint reader on the display and before I forget, it also has facial recognition built-in. an IP68 certification ensures that the device is protected from water and dust.

Another great about the Galaxy S20 Ultra over its siblings is the 5000 mAh battery that supports a faster 45W fast charging capability with fast Wireless charging 2.0 and Samsung’s own PowerShare reverse charging feature.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be available in Cosmic Black and Cosmic Gray color options.
