South Korean tech giant Samsung officially sent out press invites for the much awaited UNPacked 2 event in 2018. As expected, the event will showcase Samsung’s most technologically advanced mobile device this year and that’s none other than the upcoming Galaxy Note 9.
Specifically, the new Galaxy Note 9 will be unveiled on the 9th of August 2018 with the event to be held in New York. Like in the previous events, everything will also be available on live-stream though Samsung’s website for everyone to see.
So what will be new on the Galaxy Note 9? , Rumors and speculations suggests that the next Galaxy Note will be almost identical to the Galaxy Note 8. except for a few noticeable ones. One of which could be how the fingerprint scanner would set itself further away from the main camera module of the device. That will also suggest (if true) that the Galaxy Note will once again miss-out the under-display fingerprint scanner that a few manufacturers have implemented so far on their devices.
The Galaxy Note 9 though will definitely get a performance boosts with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and the newer Exynos 9810 Octa. As always, Snapdragon and Exynos chips has their own market to attend to and the trend will continue with the Galaxy Note 9.
Storage will start off with 64GB and up to 256GB for standard devices but there are also word in the street that Samsung will include a 512GB limited variant of the handset in a few selected markets and albeit with a hefty price tag as well.
So far, it’s a little early to tell what Samsung could bring with the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 as everything we have at this point are pure rumors and speculations but as we close towards the UNPacked 2 date, we’ll see more about the new offerings that the next Galaxy Note has in store for us, so stay tuned…
