Samsung sends out invites for its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 event on June 12. The head of Samsung Mobile J.K Shin also confirmed in an interview from the Wall Street Journal that Samsung will be introducing new line of tablets in New York on the said date. With dozens of leaked information that recently flooded the web, it is most likely that the South Korean tech giant will be introducing the Galaxy Tab S as a new line of slates from the company.

The Galaxy Tab S will feature a 10.5-inch AMOLED display having 2,560 x 1600 resolution at 287 ppi. Aside from the 10.5-inch variant, we also have information that two other tablets on the range is likely to be introduced as well, all having the same WQHD display resolutions. The tablet that we’ve known for sometime now being the 10.5-inch Galaxy Tab S corresponds to what internally known of a codename Chagall. Two other tabs with codename Klimt features an 8.4-inch display with 359 ppi and Warhol with a large 13.3-inch display at 227 ppi. The 10.5-inch and 8.4-inch versions both sports an AMOLED display while the larger 13.3-inch tab will have a LCD display instead. All three tablets as Samsung always does with its Galaxy Tabs will offer both WiFi only versions and 3G + LTE versions.

On the inside, the Galaxy Tab S is said to feature an Exynos 5420 processor with the latest Android 4.4 (KitKat) under Samsung’s Magazine UI. The cameras would be a 8 Megapixel on the back and 2 Megapixel on the front. Compared to existing Galaxy Tabs in the market, the new Tab S line will feature a slightly slimmer edges that slopes towards the back and the inclusion of the AMOLED diplay which lacks 1 layer found on regular LCD panels has added to the slim profile of the device.
