If you are one of those who are affected by Samsung’s in-display fingerprint recognition issue then its time you give your device the patch it needs as Samsung has finally rolled out a fix for that.

The update is sent Over-the-Air (OTA) and the update is available for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and the Galaxy Note 10 series.

According to Samsung, users with silicone cover which happened to have textured pattern on the inside are the only ones affected by the issue. The textured pattern are recognized by the fingerprint scanner, thus unlocks the phone.

The solution after the patch is installed is to removed the screen cover and delete existing fingerprint data from the phone. Enroll your new fingerprint without the screen cover and after that, restart your phone and login to your phone using your newly enrolled fingerprint.
