Though scheduled by the end of the month or specifically on March 30, but Samsung can’t hold that much-anticipated update any longer that they have started seeding the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the 2017 Galaxy Note 8 earlier that expected.
The update was first spotted by a user in France who luckily got notified about the update. Pushing through the update process and indeed it is the Oreo update that everyone is waiting for.
The Galaxy Note 8’s Oreo update brings a lot of bug fixes and enhancements and the new Samsung Experience 9 UI. Besides the new features built into Oreo, the update also includes an improved keyboard, new emojis and stickers, new Bixby briefing, enhanced search and much more. And yes, the Oreo update also includes the latest March 2018 monthly security patch so there’s no question whether one would need to update their devices or not.
The update is as always rolled out in batches and by region so while some have already received the update today, others would take quite some time to get notified about the update but users can always head into the Settings and check for the update manually.
