Samsung Revives the “Edge” with the Sleek New Galaxy S25 Edge, Launching May 12Samsung

The last time Samsung used the “Edge” moniker for its flagship device was seven years ago. Now, Samsung is bringing it back in a whole new way with the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Since the series was announced earlier this year, the S25 lineup has felt incomplete without the teased “Edge” variant.

The wait is finally over, as Samsung has announced that a Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on May 12, 2025, at 8 PM ET, where the Galaxy S25 Edge will be officially launched. The event will be streamed online via Samsung’s YouTube channel and the Samsung Newsroom.

Although Samsung teased the S25 Edge at the last Unpacked event, detailed hardware specs remain scarce. However, it’s clear that the upcoming device will be slimmer and will feature an impressive 200MP wide camera lens.

In addition, the Galaxy S25 Edge will include integrated Galaxy AI, which will enhance the camera experience described by Samsung as a “smart lens that helps recognize what matters to create new memories.”
