It’s almost 2 months since Samsung confirmed the exploding units of the Galaxy Note7 but starting today, to Korean tech giant will officially commence the actual replacement program locally where owners of the beloved Galaxy Note7 units are entitled to have their units replaced for free from where they purchase their devices.

Some regions started earlier, September 29 mostly but other regions will open their gates for the replacement starting today. All we need to do is bring everything in the box and that includes the unit and all the accessories that comes along with it, the receipts and possibly the owners ID, that is if you bought the devices from retailers. For units acquired from the carriers, basically all you need to do is bring the whole package including the freebies that came with the unit if it had one to their satellite offices and then they would contact you if your replacement unit has arrived.

Smart for one, as I have enrolled to a two-year contract with them to me that the replacement units should start arriving today for those who returned their units earlier after the notification were disseminated. I turned my unit in just last Wednesday so I guess it would to a week before my unit would arrive. Thankfully, Smart provided me a service unit that I could use for the meantime so I’m not complaining.
