Samsung might be working on an 18.4-inch Android tablet, leaks suggests

As if those 12.2 incher tablets isn’t large enough for Samsung, the company was rumored to be prepping another big in the tablet segment but big this time isn’t just your regular large tablet but more like enormously big. The tablet which was around the rumor mill for weeks was said to feature an 18.4-inch display.

As you can imagine, it could already look like a fully grown laptop minus the keyboard. At first we’re thing it might just be some kind of a hoax or something but new rumors surfaced about the devices and even have a list of specs to prove its existence.

According to the source, the tablet will have a model number SM-T670, and its 18.4-inch panel would be a TFT-LCD touchscreen display. The display will have a full-HD view which would sum-up around a 119 ppi of pixel density.

The tablet dimension should be at 451.8 x 275.8 x 11.9 mm and inside is an Exynos 7580 SoC with an 8-core processor running clocking at 1.6 GHz and this is accompanied by a pretty standard 2 GB RAM. It will come with 32 GB of built-in storage and includes a microSD card slot to storage expansion

With fully featured tablet capabilities, the device will also include an 8 Megapixel main camera on the back and a 2.1 Megapixel shooter on the front. Juicing the enormous tablet is the embedded 5700 mAh battery which would be just fine to run the fairly mid-range device.

With no definite consumer segment at the moment, the oversized tablet should be well suited for users requiring a large display for specific needs.
