We’re at the last day of November but surprisingly, Samsung already rolled out the December Security patch to certain Samsung devices in Europe. This makes Samsung as the first to roll out the update to a number of users that even Google’s own Pixel devices are still on November.

The said devices are the Galaxy Note 10 series as well as the Galaxy Note 9’s particularly in Europe at the moment. These new updates bears a software version N97*FXXS1ASKB for the Galaxy Note 10 which are now available in 25 countries in Europe and version N960FXXS4CSK2 for the Galaxy Note 9. Unlike the new update for the Galaxy Note 10, the one for the Galaxy Note 9 are only available in Germany at this time.

The update is purely a December security patch as reported with no new features or any sort. However it is likely that it contains bug fixes as well but beyond that there isn’t.

How these update were rolled out probably has something to do with Samsung’s on-going push for the final testing of Android 10 on their flagship devices and together with the upcoming One UI 2 update which should be hitting various Samsung devices, it is expected that we’ll see more of these hitting security patches to become available in other regions as well.
