Following the success of Galaxy Note 3 as the top phablet device in its category, Samsung launched a smaller version of the same breed and call it the Galaxy Note 3 Neo.

At closer look, the new Galaxy Note 3 Neo resembles the Galaxy Note 3 in all its entirety with a smaller chassis. Much closer to its dimension is the Galaxy Note 2 which features the same display size compared to the larger Galaxy Note 3.

With that in mind, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is more of an upgrade to the Galaxy Note 2 in terms of internal components as they feature almost the same specs with differences in small areas.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo comes in 3G and LTE variants. The former will feature a Quad Core 1.6GHz CPU while the latter will offer a much beefier Hexa-Core processor with Two 1.7GHz Cortex A15 and four 1.3GHz Cortex A7 chips. Both variant features a 5.5-inch 720p sAMOLED display, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Memory expansion is also available via a microSD card with up to 64GB support.

As an imaging device, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo packs a 8 Megapixel camera on the back with LED flash and 2 Megapixel camera upfront.

The device carries the faux leather back that most Samsung high-end devices  are having now, equipped with an S Pen that put Samsung’s Note devices radically different from most other phablet in the market.

Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Note 3 Neo in India with a price tag of 40,900 Indian Rupees. As expected, The device should be coming to other territories soon after.
