Redmi unleashed its own gaming laptop: the Redmi G

Gaming will always be a market to conquer with vast resources and brands competing for dominance, one new contender has entered the ring not just to challenge for hardware supremacy but a battle of pricing.

Xiaomi already had an establish laptop/notebook segment for mobile users and Redmi in particular also has entered to make a name for itself and to even desaturate the pool of renowned laptop brands in the gaming market, Redmi announced their own which they call it : Redmi G.

Design to take the gaming market by storm, the Redmi G comes with the latest 10th generation of Intel notebook chips in the market and are available in 3 options. Their offer starts with an Intel Core i5-10200H CPU with a GTX️ 1650 discrete graphics and up to an Intel Core i7=10750H with GTX️ 1650Ti discrete graphics. It includes a dual channel 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM (2x 8GB) across all models as well as 512GB of NVMe SSD storage.

The new gaming laptop comes with a 16.1-inch Full-HD IPS Display and features either a modest 60Hz refresh rate for the base model and a 144Hz refresh rate for the next upper variants. It supports 100% SRGB color spectrum on a 1080p resolution. It also has one of the thinnest bezels around and so its 1 Megapixel front facing camera is forced to sit on the chin of the screen.

Keeping it cooled, the Redmi G comes with dual internal fans with two air inlets and four air outlets passing through a copper heat dissipation module.

For an immersive gaming and multimedia experience, the Redmi G includes a dual stereo speaker system with DTS Surround 3D sound and DTS:X Ultra audio technology.

Gaming PC’s and especially laptops of this kind needs a good set of port to accommodate accessories and with that, it comes with 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, 1x USB-A 2.0 port, 1x USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, a Mini DisplayPort, and Ethernet port. For wireless connectivity, there’s no mobile connectivity on the Redmi G but most users are fine with its WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity support.

A gaming laptop need keep up to the task it suppose to work and 55wHr battery is what Xiaomi includes for the Redmi G with support for 180w fast charging.

The new Redmi G will be available in China with prices for each configuration as follows:
