Qualcomm has been plague with complaints and rumors which caused the company to lose some of its market share when the they released their top of the line Snapdragon 810. Snapdragon 810 was one of the company’s fastest processor to date but also is also getting faster to get replaced and forgotten mainly due to overheating issues which turned-out to be a major failure. There were even rumors for a Snapdragon 815 as an update to Snapdragon 815 but was later denied by the Qualcomm.

Now as the company moves forward, the company is set to release the company’s next flagship chipset with the new and upcoming Snapdragon 820 and is expected to help regain Qualcomm’s reputation and lost market share. The chipset is also said to boost speed and performance as well as an improved way to overcome overheating and throttling issues.

The Snapdragon 820 is a definite yes and is confirmed by new reports suggesting that the chipset is already on its way and might become available this early. As industrial sources have hinted, the company is already shipping the chipset to unnamed customer for testing and if all goes well, we might see the chipset soon after.

Few incoming devices are said to include the Snapdragon 820 such as Xiaomi Mi5 and the rumored LG G4 Pro to name a few and it is also expected that more manufacturers are jumping into Qualcomm’s flagship bandwagon. Going back to the old ways  of manufacturing chips, Qualcomm will feature their new Kryo chip a custom 64-bit CPU based on ARMv8 core. It also feature new manufacturing technologies such as Samsung’s 14nm FinFET and TSMC’s new 16nm manufacturing. Though the setup could clock 3.0 GHz, Qualcomm will eventually opt for a less aggressive stance and more cooler chip.
