Quad-core + KitKat bundle with Cherry Mobile Amber 2 for 3,299 Php
As the company continues to move forward, Cherry Mobile has updated its recently released Amber series with the new Amber 2, an affordable smartphone device for the budget conscious individual. Moving on from its predecessor, the new CM: Amber 2 features a Quad-core processor and Android KitKat right out of the box.
The new Cherry Mobile Amber 2 features a 1.3GHz Quad-core MT6582 processor from MediaTek along with ARM Mali-400 MP2 Graphics processor and a small 512MB RAM which probably is the reason why the new Amber 2 comes dirt cheap. But users need not to worry however as the device comes with Android 4.4 KitKat which could still work flawlessly even at this limitation.
It comes with the same 4-inch capacitive display as the first-gen Amber, so there is nothing to bash in this area. But it flaunts a light-weight footprint which sits at 118 grams and that’s with the 1,400 mAh battery installed.
For photo lovers, there is a standard 5 Megapixel camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front. For storing photos, videos and other multimedia files, there’s a 4 GB built-in memory which can be expanded via microSD cards of up to 32 GB.
