Poco unveils the new Poco M3 with a massive 6000mAh battery

Poco finally launched the new Poco M3 globally. The new M3 is the company’s most affordable line of new generation devices from Poco with a striking new design.

Upon seeing the new Poco M3, there’s no way you are going to miss the newly designed back of the phone. It comes with a rather large rear camera module which occupies 25% of the back with the rest of it having a textured finish.

For imaging, the new Poco M3 includes a triple camera system on the back which has a primary 48 Megapixel sensor with 0.8μm pixels and a f/1.79 Aperture lens. The two supporting cameras are the 2 Megapixel macro shooter and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the handset comes with a 8 Megapixel Selfie shooter that sits on a notch.

The handset is built primarily on a 6.53-inch IPS LCD Display with a Full-HD+ resolution screen and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset with 4GB of RAM and storage at either 64GB or in 128GB which can be expanded with a microSD card.

Poco gives the new M3 the biggest battery yet in its lineup with 6000mAh power pack that supports 18W fast charging. Poco promises up to 5 days of battery life for the M3 with up to 3 days under moderate use and a day and a half under heavy usage. It also claims to have up to 2.5 years of usage without notable battery degradation, but that still remains to be seen in actuality.

For its features, the new Poco M3 comes with stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a IR blaster. It’s driven by MIUI 12 for Poco based on Android 10 out of the box.

Available in Power Black, Cool Blue and the signature POCO Yellow color options, the new Poco M3 will launch in the market on November 27 just in time for the Black Friday sale at $129 for the 64GB variant and $149 for the 128GB. In the Philippines, there’s an early bird promo which is around Php 5,990 ($124) for the 64GB variant and Php 6,990 ($145) for the 128GB version.
