Philippine Fuel Prices Set for Another Hike Next Week Amid Global Supply Issues
For the second straight week, oil prices in the Philippines are expected to increase once again next week, due to various factors including the additional oil shipment sanctions imposed by the US against Iran and the decreased supply of oil in America.
Another contributing factor to the upcoming fuel price hike is refinery maintenance both in our region and in the US and parts of Europe. Since the Philippines imports fuel from foreign countries, our fuel prices are affected by global factors, especially those involving major oil-producing nations.
Here are the expected oil price adjustments for next week:
- Diesel: An increase of up to 90 centavos per liter.
- Gasoline: A price hike between ₱1.20 and ₱1.60 per liter.
- Kerosene: A potential increase between 50 and 90 centavos per liter.
, with the new prices to be implemented in the early hours of Tuesday next week.
