Oppo makes the new A5 official with a large 6.2-inch display, dual cameras and a large 4320 mAh battery

Oppo latest notch-equipped handset is their new A5 handset and it’s the company’s latest entry-level device designed to bring a select of high-end features to the budget segment.

With that said, the new handset features a large 6.2-inch LCD panel with a basic display resolution of 1520 x 720p on a 19:9 Aspect ratio. It also has a notch which is one of the most adapted feature in the market right now.

Speaking of the notch, the display notch on the new Oppo A5 houses  the usual: the front-facing 8 Megapixel camera and the handset’s earpiece. Going to the back, it has a dual main camera sensors with a combination of a 13 Megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 2 Megapixel depth sensor.

The handset is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC based on 14nm process and is running at 1.8 GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of expandable storage.

The handset as with all other Oppo devices runs ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box will all the trendy AI functions that the company is bringing to users. It also runs on a large 4320 mAh embedded battery and with its AI functions, expected them to be as efficient as possible than ever.

The new Oppo A5 will come in Black or Pink with a price tag of 1500 CNY. It will become available in China starting July 13th however customers and fans can place their pre-order as early as today.
