It wasn’t long ago that OPPO launched the F5 series in the market and now the company is set to unveil the next “F” series. At it is becoming a trend for OPPO, the next Selfie Expert device will have to skip a number forward and will be called the F7. It will be the company’s flagship device where the R15 (that’s also rumored to make its debut soon) is not present.
As one would expect, the OPPO F7 will be a camera focused flagship device and one won’t have to disagree about it. OPPO made a significant impact in market because of its Selfie expertise, from what we’ve thought of as a bluff is actually working for OPPO. But what really sets it apart from the rest of its predecessors is that it is now following the trend where the notch is sprouting like beans that one must have to be in.
This is quite evident from the teaser and that’s not a surprise. A while ago, the OPPO R15 has been the talk of the town and up to now, more and more leaks have suggests that indeed the R15 will sport the notch and obviously as a flagship device, the OPPO F7 will also carry this feature as well. What really differs from these two though is how they specializes their cameras. While the R15 focuses its photography features from its main cameras, the OPPO F7 on the other hand will focus mainly on Selfies meaning the front-facing camera will get all the refinements instead of the back.
The teaser came from OPPO India which explicitly displays the design and notably the notch of the OPPO F7 together with the mystery brand ambassador behind. Cricket fans though would guess it’s Hardik Pandya. Going through the tweets, the new Selfie Expert handset will have its debut on the 26th of March in India.
While what we have is basically just a glimpse on the design and that OPPO haven’t revealed any possible specs as of late, rumors suggests that the OPPO F7 will have a 6.2-inch display (probably the Plus variant) with an 18:9 Aspect ratio, and either a MediaTek P6 or the Snapdragon 670 will run the show. It is said that the handset being a Selfie Expert will have a whopping 25 Megapixel front-facing camera along with all the AI-assisted photography features. There’s also an enhanced real-time HDR, enhanced beauty mode and even AR stickers. The handset is likely to be driven by ColorOS 4.0 based on Android 8.0 (Oreo).
