Oppo announced the new Reno4 and Reno4 Pro with Snapdragon 765G and 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 in China

One of the fastest growing smartphone brand in the world is Oppo like literally as new models of their existing lineup pops up less than a year their predecessors. One of these models are the Reno series which just had the Reno3 series announced late last year and now, they’ve got us a new Reno4 series to like.

The Reno4 series is available in two variant (I guess at the moment) with the Reno4 base model and a Reno4 Pro. Both variants runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor meaning it’s got a 5G modem built-in to the chipset and is built with serious imaging skills in mind.

Reno4 Pro

The device is built on a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, HDR10+ support and 90Hz refresh rate. It has a punch hole on the left which houses a single 32 Megapixel Selfie camera.

On the back, it has a familiar and hard to miss camera module which houses triple-camera sensor setup with a primary 48 Megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and is endowed with OIS. There’s also a 12 Megapixel Sony IMX708 sensor with Ultra Wide angle lens, a 13 Megapixel Telephoto with a 5x hybrid zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. This setup comes with Hybrid and Laser Autofocus and supports Oppo Live HDR video that promises better details and color accuracy especially in low-light.

And so the handset is powered by Snapdragon 765G and comes either with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage from 128GB and 256GB respectively. It boots ColorOS 7.2 that is based on Android 10.

Weighing at around 172 grams, the Oppo Reno4 Pro comes with 4,000mAh battery pack and supports its 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology.

The Reno4 Pro will be available in Black, White, Green Glitter and 2 special Blue and Red Reno Glow colors with a frosted glass design.

The base model comes with a regular 6.4-inch AMOLED flat display and it only has 60Hz refresh rate. It however comes with a dual-punch hole on the left which houses its dual front-facing cameras having a 32 Megapixel primary shooter and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor.

On the back, the triple camera module is also supported primarily by a 48 Megapixel sensor but its ultra wide angle camera has been toned down to an 8 Megapixel and its third sensor is a 2 Megapixel Black and White camera dropping the Telephoto camera from the Pro.

Like the Pro, the base Reno4 is also powered by SD765G but the RAM configuration sticks at 8GB for both its 128GB and 256GB storage flavors. It too runs on ColorOS 7.2 and packs a 4,020mAh embedded battery which also supports Oppo’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast wired charging.

With a slightly more amp battery, the Reno4 weighs heavier than the Pro at 183 grams and a slight difference in terms of their overall dimension but the difference are minute and virtually non-existent.

With that said, the Reno4 will be available only in three color variants, namely: Blue, Black and White.

Available in China beginning June 12, the new Reno4 and the Reno4 Pro are priced as follows:
