OPPO and Hasselblad Extend Partnership to Develop Next-Gen Mobile Imaging System

Who still remembers the OPPO F1s? It was one of OPPO’s first successful devices that stood out for its superior cameras. The F1s led to several successors and paved the way for OPPO’s later flagship smartphones. Beginning with the OPPO Find X5, the company officially partnered with Hasselblad to deliver a more calibrated and professional camera system enhanced with Hasselblad’s signature tweaks and features.

Now, OPPO and Hasselblad are expanding their partnership further. The two companies have revealed that they are working together on developing a next-generation imaging system for OPPO’s upcoming flagship devices.

Although neither party has shared specific details about the project yet, OPPO confidently claims it will “set a new benchmark for the quality of mobile imaging.”

Since the partnership began, OPPO smartphones with Hasselblad co-engineering have been optimized for advanced photography, introducing features such as Hasselblad Color Science and Hasselblad Portrait Mode, which simulates the look of classic Hasselblad lenses. There’s also the professional-grade Hasselblad Master Mode, which emulates the experience of using a Hasselblad mirrorless medium format camera.
