OnePlus rolls out a critical software update to fix OnePlus 5’s 911 reboot bug

Earlier this week, a number of users reported that their OnePlus 5 handsets starts rebooting itself when trying to call 911 Emergency Service hotline. This has been treated as a critical problem for owners and that OnePlus promptly address the issue by issuing a quick software update.
OnePlus is rolling out the update by regions with timing could vary by region but it’s their for users to download and OnePlus has encourage download and apply the update to their OnePlus 5 device. If users haven’t received their notification yet, users can go to Settings > System Updates to check and download the update.
