Initial reports suggest that OnePlus would release two different OS upgrades to the OnePlus One device before the month of March ends but unfortunately, the company has now rescheduled the updates to a few some other time according to a company’s representative. OnePlus originally planned to deliver the CyanogenMod 12S update on March 27 but users are reporting that no such update came on the said date. Additionally, this new developments may as well affect the company’s homegrown OxygenOS which was scheduled for March 30.

It seems that CyanogenMod 12S wasn’t quite ready and stable enough for real-world use and to provide the highest support and compatibility available, OnePlus is taking a few more time to test and evaluate the OS stability before it becomes widely available for users.

Also with the company’s latest OS the OxygenOS, OnePlus is still testing the Operating System on test devices for compatibility issues and should become available when the company is satisfied with all its test results and is confident to make the upgrade available to users. Users should take note however that the OxygenOS will only be available as a downloadable software upgrade and not with the Over-The-Air (OTA) feature available for the CyanogenMod 12S update.
