We’re hours away from the unveiling of the new OnePlus 2 but before that, someone from the inside just cant seem to wait for those hours and decided to show off the unannounced handset online.
Judging from the photos, the device may look somewhat like a generic representation of a smartphone device but OnePlus decided to bring out a device that is easier to use with specs under the hood that could outmatched existing devices in the market. The handset already visited TENAA recently and these live photos just confirmed what we know about it looks earlier.
The handset definitely comes with a metal frame and a removable back cover which suggest that the battery can be removed and replaced if they go busted. One significant differentiator of a OnePlus device is its signature Sandstone finish which we couldn’t find it on any other smartphone available in the market.
The handset will feature a USB 3.0 type C port at the bottom of the handset with the twin-speaker grills on its sides (ala iPhone). On top, there’s the 3.5 mm jack and a secondary microphone hole.
The much rumored dual-SIM capabilities of the handset has also been confirmed which are all hidden on the back. The camera module of the OnePlus 2 comes with the main 16 Megapixel camera sensor coupled with dual LED flash and a laser auto focus sensor. The handset is said to equipped a 5.5-inch display similar to the OnePlus One that came out a year ago.
The OnePlus 2 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor even the chipset has been swarmed with overheating issues but OnePlus is said to alleviate the problem with a solution so we’re on the look out for this one. The processor is coupled with 4 GB of RAM and runs on Oxygen OS based on Android 5.x Lollipop. From what its makers are proud to point out, the OnePlus 2 will come with features that’s going to be available with the upcoming Android M.
