Nokia is currently one of the most prominent to provide consistent and constant updates to its smartphone lineup. The Nokia 7 Plus in particular has been part of Android Pie development program where real world users can actually download, install and use the Android 9.0 beta software as a daily driver, given that users enrolls to Nokia’s own Beta program.
Android 9.0 or commonly known as Android Pie has finally become public and as expected, users of Google devices gets the first taste of it and Essential phone as well. But the rest are still under their own beta testing and that included Nokia which is currently in its Beta 4 build and is at its final stage of the program.
Speaking at a special event held in New Delhi, HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas confirmed that the company will be rolling out its stable Android 9.0 Pie update for the Nokia 7 Plus some time next month and will be the first Snapdragon 660 equipped handset to do so.
As you might come to expect, all other Nokia devices will also get updated to Android 9.0 Pie with the second in line after the Nokia 7 Plus could be the Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 6.1 and possibly more devices will receive the OS update before the year ends.
