Nokia or HMD Global rather is set to make a big hit at MWC 2018 next week. While we are hoping for something epic from the company, there’s something in the air that tells us to calm down. And to make things more exciting, a new leaked images points to the company’s next Android phone, the Nokia 7 Plus. The Nokia 7 Plus is the Nokia 7’s bigger sibling and will be the Nokia brand’s first device with an 18:9 Aspect ratio display.
Nokia devices are known to give the best user experience through its stock Android user interface with a few Nokia specific themes around but for a change though not remarkably outrageous is that the Nokia 7 Plus is to sport Google’s Androidone initiative. This would bring everything stock to the interface but still we could expect a little Nokia attributes along the way.
The device will be a full-metal slab with a fully laminated glass front with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass to be expected, the display has rounded corners, something that has become a trend in today’s latest smartphones.
At the back, you’ll have a dual-camera sensors along with its LED flash and hopefully ala Nokia 8 in terms of performance. Right under the camera module is the fingerprint sensor and towards the center is the Nokia logo. One could tell that this device is indeed part of the Androidone program because of the noticeable “androidone” logo down below the handset.
While there’s little known about the Nokia 7+, rumors suggests that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 coupled with 4GB of RAM. Expect them to have USB-C connectivity as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack to come as standard.
What we find it missing though is a dedicated camera button from the yesteryear of Nokia, we hope to see them at least in one of the future device but probably until they’d produce a handset designed similarly as the PureView infused Nokia 808 which we haven’t seen yet with the new Nokia’s.
And here’s the first live image of the upcoming Nokia 7 Plus:
