Nokia 6 to go on sale in the Philippines unofficially through Widget City very soon

Nokia’s comeback into the world of mobile devices has garnered a pretty solid support from fans and the general consumers alike, that’s why their first Android device is such a huge hit despite it being little known about the device until it finally launched in China last Jan 19. Given that HMD Globalhaven’t decided yet when to release the handset in other markets, here in the Philippines, some folks have managed to acquire partners in China who will be supplying Nokia 6 units to be sold unofficially (for the moment) to Filipino fans.

Widget City, one of the most popular online stores in the country teased us of the Nokia 6 coming to the country and even provided a registration page to express our interest on the device.

The Nokia 6 is a device that sits between an entry-level and mid-range device and is one of the alleged upcoming Nokia models that HMD Global plans to release in the market all throughout 2017. It has a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lamination on top. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset paired to a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space.

The handset comes with a solid camera of 16 Megapixel sensor on the back and an 8 Megapixel shooter on the front. It comes running Android 7.0 (Nougat) out of the box and there’s fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button and is juiced up by a 3000 mAh embedded battery with fast charging support.

Widget City still haven’t provided any information regarding its pricing but in China, the Nokia 6 cost around 1,699 yuan ($245) or around 12,300 Php when converted. With added tax and shipping on Widget City’s part, expect the price would push further than our current estimates though we’d expect it not more than 15K or so.
