Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) announced, gets priced

The Nintendo Switch is one of the best handheld gaming console in the market and Nintendo just made it much better with the a new variant that the company simply calls it the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model). Nintendo could have thought something but naming it as such seem to work out quite well.

The new model of course features an updated display with a 7-inch OLED panel. A sizable difference from the standard 6.2-inch model, however both variants sports the same 1280×720 display resolution. Having that said, the OLED model should enrich users with better visuals with deep blacks and more pronounced colors.

The new gaming console is powered by the same NVIDIA Tegra X1 chipset from its predecessor but it gets a double the capacity storage which now has 64GB. Nintendo also suggests that the audio quality from the Switch OLED Model has been improved with an enhanced bottom-firing stereo speakers. Connectivity also gets an update as well as it now features an integrated LAN port for wired connectivity when the console is docked.

Given for its larger display, it also gets a new wide flap kickstand on the back, which should give better support when placed in a surface and can even be adjusted to multiple positions.

Like the standard model, the new Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) supports all accessories and games.

The new Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) is priced at US$350 and will go on sale by October 8 in Standard Neon Red, Neon Blue and an Exclusive White color options.
