New leaked image shares an early look at Microsoft’s new Spartan Web Browser
We now have an early preview as to what would Spartan could look like when Microsoft finally reveal the new web browser on the 21st of January. The image about comes from the Chinese site cnBeta which not only showed the new simplified user interface of the rumored Spartan browser that Microsoft has been working on for sometime now. Not only that, the image also showed the rumored user interface changes to the Windows 10 operating system.
This one shows Microsoft’s voice activated and guided virtual assistant “Cortana” which is deeply integrated into the browser itself, it also functions as a complete replacement for Bing by playing the rule as the new search query prompt or simply act as a guide on how you use the internet. Cortana could suggest similar webpages from the frequently viewed pages and websites that the users have been to.
As rumored earlier, the leaked images seems to confirm what Microsoft is planning to do with the new browser. From all angles, the Spartan window features a flat user interface which looks similar to Google Chrome but with the emphasis of modern design and the obviously sharp edges. The navigation buttons also seem to react on how users use the browser, there is also an evidence that Spartan will surely support browser extensions and probably widgets that other rival products had for years.
Though many analysts and followers believe that Spartan will depart from what Internet Explorer had been to over the years, The Spartan web browser currently bares the IE icon which needed some clarifications but understanding the fact that the browser is currently at its early stages, Microsoft still has more room for improvements and until Windows 10 goes official, the web browser team will likely add, remove or modify existing features including a dedicated app icon perhaps when the new OS starts shipping. We’re also expecting Spartan to move and become a modern app, this way, Microsoft will find it easier to update with prompt bug fixes and other improvements.
In addition to that, the cnBeta.com leaked images also shows a dark themed Windows which seem to confirm earlier rumors that Windows 10 will support interface themes. Sources suggests that Microsoft is working on a light theme as well as the dark theme for windows 10 will color accents. If the Redmond giant will push this through, we’ll be seeing similar interface elements found in Windows Phone OS. Though the leaked images only shows how far Microsoft has gone tweaking the User Interface of the upcoming OS, it would likely to make it into the final release of Windows 10.
Microsoft is setting up a special event on January 21st which will showcase the upcoming Windows 10 and its features, we’ll also expect Microsoft to shed more light on the new Spartan web browser and the fate of the incumbent browser Internet Explorer 11.
