New Android Security flaw could allow attackers send malware to target devices via Bluetooth
When you have a complicated piece of tech on your hands, more likely than not, you’re the target for malware attacks and the latest in this department is known as BlueFrag which takes advantage on Android’s newly found Bluetooth security flaw.

ERNW Security Researchers have detailed the new vulnerability which allow an attacker to silently dispatch a malware to a nearby victims device and steal data from those running Android 8 Oreo or even Android 9 Pie.
The attacker only has to know the victims MAC address to initiate the dispatch and that’s not a problem as just by looking at the Wi-Fi MAC address, the next thing that would happen next will be on the backdoor.
One thing that we need to note though is that the new found vulnerability does not work with Android 10 which makes it more protected than the versions that came before it.
For those receiving constant security updates can breath easily as a patch for the security risk is available together with February 2020 Android Security Patch. Another sight of relief is that the attack can only be executed when one is near to the attacker knowing the limited range of Bluetooth technology.
While that’s not a problem for users who have updated their devices more often, the thing is that not every one gets updated which happens even more on Software System updates as manufacturers ceases to update older devices which makes them an easy target.
