MyPhone recently pushed a number of affordable devices in the market, most of these devices are either a lighter version of their high-end counterparts or part of the existing line within the lower end devices. As part of the RIO line of devices comes the new MyPhone RIO Craze, it’s probably one of the cheapest Dual-core device with Android KitKat on-board.
We’ve already know that Android 4.4 (KitKat) can strive even at the lowest specs that we can possibly think of and with that at 1,999 Php price tag, MyPhone brings in the most basic specs that smartphone manufacturers could think of. The RIO craze is powered by a 1.3GHz Dual-core processor, 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of storage space. We’ve still have to confirm of how much is left for the user when that amount of storage space is being filled-up by the Android OS installation alone. Users who wished to get more out of their RIO Craze would be happy to add up to 32 GB microSD card to expand that built-in memory.
The RIO Craze offers a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display. a 1.3 Megapixel camera (we believe that it’s also fixed focus) and a standard VGA camera on the front. It has Dual-SIM slots with both supporting 2G wireless connectivity only, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for sharing and get connected only and a FM radio to keep you users entertained on the go. The device runs on a 1,300 mAh battery from which in this case would be enough to do basic things on the device as they are built to do just that.
So MyPhone is basically bringing the most basic needs from a smartphone, though that storage and RAM would disappoint mid-end and power users from pushing further, User who wants a basic smartphone functionality on their devices however would find the RIO Craze just right for the job and may find it as an affordable replacement for their existing feature phones.
